We are Committed to Meeting your Needs

The Canadian standard for the length of time to assess a foreign credential is 26 weeks, as set out in the Pan-Canadian Framework for the Assessment and Recognition of Foreign Qualifications. Our goal is to surpass this standard, which we have done for almost 10 years. Our internal goal is 10-12 weeks to assess precedent applications and 16-18 weeks to assess non-precedent applications, after all required documents are received.

We are striving to achieve these processing times, however, due to the significant increase in applications and the intricate nature of our credentialling process, we are experiencing a backlog. Measures have been put in place to reduce the backlog and staff are working diligently to review each application to provide applicants with a fair assessment.

We are committed to continuous quality improvement and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

To ensure applications are processed fairly and within a suitable time frame, please review the information on this page thoroughly before submitting your application.
